CatalogPilot AI

For Shopify store owners · Free during beta

Fix broken Shopify product CSV files in minutes.

Upload your product CSV or a supplier's spreadsheet. See exactly what's wrong — row by row, in plain English — and download a corrected, Shopify-compatible CSV.

  • ✓Runs in your browser — files aren't uploaded
  • ✓No account needed
  • ✓Never invents product data
Example: supplier-autumn.csv412 rows · 96 products
  • Row 18 · Variant Barcodes — Barcode damaged by Excel

“8.71234E+12” lost its real digits. Format the column as Text and re-export.

  • Row 22 · Price — needs confirmation

“12,50” was read as 12.50 (comma used as decimal point). Apply?

  • Column “Weight (kg)” → Weight value (grams) · 99%

    0,18 kg converted to 180 g on 412 rows.

  • Row 41 — Duplicate variant

“Black / S” is already used on row 40 for organic-tee.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload or drop your file

CSV, TSV or Excel (.xlsx). Shopify exports, supplier price lists, dropshipping feeds — any column names.

  2. 2

    Review what we found

Problems are grouped by type with the exact row and a plain-English explanation. Uncertain column matches and ambiguous fixes wait for your OK.

  3. 3

    Download the corrected CSV

A UTF-8, comma-separated file in Shopify's current column format, plus a validation report you can keep or share with your supplier.

What CatalogPilot checks

Checks are based on Shopify's published product CSV format and official template, verified 2026-10-28. Older column names (Handle, Variant Price, Image Src…) are recognised and converted.

Required fields

Empty product titles, missing handles, option names without values, blank Status cells.

Column names

Supplier headers like “RRP”, “Artikelnummer” or “Image 2” matched to Shopify’s columns, with confidence scores.

Handles, SKUs & barcodes

Duplicate and near-duplicate SKUs, clashing handles, barcodes Excel turned into 8.71E+12, bad check digits.

Prices & numbers

Currency symbols, thousands separators, European decimals, negative prices, “call for price”.

Variants & options

Duplicate option combinations, variants without option values, scattered product rows, more than 3 options.

Images

Several links in one cell, http:// links, local file names, shared-drive links, _thumb file names.

Encoding & formatting

Non-UTF-8 files, semicolon separators, “Café” garbled characters, hidden control characters, Yes/No values.

Unsafe content

Cells that start like spreadsheet formulas (CSV injection), spreadsheet error values like #N/A or #REF!.

AI column mapping you can check

Supplier files rarely use Shopify's column names. CatalogPilot uses a small machine-learning model, running on your device, trained on hundreds of supplier header variations in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. It also looks at the values themselves — a column of 13-digit numbers with valid check digits is a barcode, whatever its header says.

Every suggestion shows a confidence score. Anything that isn't a high-confidence match waits for you to confirm it. Nothing is sent to an external AI service.

What CatalogPilot will — and won't — do

Fixes automatically

  • • Currency symbols and separators in prices
  • • Weights in kg, lb or oz → whole grams
  • • Yes/No → true/false, “Active” → active
  • • Missing handles (from the title, like Shopify does)
  • • Several image links in one cell → image rows
  • • Encoding, separators, garbled accents, extra spaces

Never guesses

  • • Missing titles, prices, SKUs or stock counts
  • • Barcodes Excel has already rounded
  • • Images, descriptions or product attributes
  • • Whether “12,50” means 12.50 — it asks
  • • Whether to publish a product (Status)
  • • Anything else it can't do reliably
